A lot of non-national clubs that have some sort of advanced driving involved (race testing, open track, time trials) dont do on on-site tech at all and figure the driver will know how. People still abuse the privelage and run dangerous equipment. Groups like BMWCCA and PCA specialize in student groups with street cars so they take the time to tech them personally.

BoxerSix is on a distinguished road

I should get you guys to come to a Kojote event this coming season. Mostly porsches, the occasional 962/956, but still great fun and some SERIOUS seat time for any experienced driver. 2 days, about 8 hours a day of total track time if you can handle it. And everyone there is as kind as they come and courteous on the track.

Adam--You should try to make our Watkins Glen event next June (Patroon BMWCCA June 16/17 I think)---We are going to a more open track format for that event --with limited student groups. You will see similar track time to what I think Kojote runs, and probably for less $$.

Very true Jesse. Different clubs, Different expectations. Different experience levels.

One of our local SCCA Club racers ( who does not frequent HPDE's) --was amazed that Patroon requires a recent brake fluid change before the events ---stated he had not changed his brake fluid all year in the racer. (this was 2 yrs back at the end of the season)

COM has the same attitude we have towards an instructor. At the point you are an instructor --you should know what needs to be done to your car ( self tech) --of course there are always exceptions to the rule--which I am sure 1st Gen can tell stories about.

It will DEFINITELY be for less money. Kojote charged $699 for 2 day this year!!!

Granted, limited entrants and they are are excellent, fast, level-headed drivers, but DAMN!

I stayed to watch one time since I was there the two days before just to see all the Porsche race equipment that shows up. 70% of the field is a late model 911. Makes G52 and Trackmasters seem like amateurs.

Adam- Prepare for porn:

And of course, the latest Kojote video: Kojote Motorsports
