Yea I got it awhile back. Listened to it a couple times, but havent really gotten back into it. I can't wait for the new Mars Volta cd to be released at the end of this month. I guess they are kinda a similar indie rock group.

Serj is on tour with the Foo Fighters and will be at the Binghamton University gym in Feb. Just sucks that tickets are so damn expensive for a shitty SUNY school. Riles me up.

Mars Volta is like nothing I've ever heard. Nothing. Not even remotely close to SOAD. They go off into these 5 minute spaced out...things...for lack of a better word. They're extremely talented, that's for damn sure, but their music is...different. I can't get into them but my friend is obsessed with them. Maybe I just haven't listened to enough of their music but I sure haven't heard anything like them.

Well I ment in comparison to SOAD would be the political and religion roots in the lyrics. The Mars Volta is very very indie.

I was a huge fan of at the drive in, so it followed suit that I love the Mars Volta as well. I got to see them open for RHCP last year, phenominal. Omar is a freak on the guitar.
