i didn't get knocked out and i don't regret it. my guy was cool but the novicane wore off by the fourth tooth, i just yelled loud and he stopped, put some more novicane in me and i was good to go.

I've had about a dozen oral surgeries in my day by Dr. Wright...I was blessed with a 3rd set of teeth so I had to pleasure of getting those all removed. I agree with everyone who says to get put under. Granted the pain isn't that bad if you receive a local but the few hours after are extremely uncomfortable. I think Jessie said it best, its not a place where you need to prove how much of a man you are. Get it done, wake up, feel somewhat okay, move on with life.

^^^You forgot the drug-induced haze. I was hilarious for a full 24 hours after my surgery. Or at least I thought I was, which is really all that matters.

i played forza 20 mins after i woke up from getting all 4 of my teeth ripped out.. got done with 60% of the game that day... i must have got it lucky cause i hear some bad stories from other people.. i also stoped bleeding about 2 hours after my surgery and i only took 2 hydro's the entire week

seriously, don't take advice from people that say "my Dr is good, go to him". What do you guys know? Do you shop around and try different DRs and pick the best one? NO! Should someone go to them just cuz they are a cool guy? their work could suck ass and you would never be able to tell. I know plenty of DRs that are quite bad dentists, but patients love them cuz they are good people.

note: do not hop out of the chair when you think the meds have worn off, just stay seated until the DR tells you all is good. If you do this then you will probably pass out like I did. I kinda woke out of a haze and no one was in the room. I heard the DR and my father (they are good friends) talking in the other room. So I decide to get up and see whats going on. I was on the floor after about 5 steps

LOL! thats awesome matt.

I wish I could have gotten erica on film. She was hilarious when she came home. Granted, she was a blood-filled mess also, but funny, nonetheless.

I did plenty of research before mine, which is why I posted the info up. Shawn should probably do the same.

just be careful how you do your research. Don't go to your dentist and ask him who a good surgeon is. They will obviously have a bias opinion and will most of the time refer you to someone that they are buds with.
