Anyone know any good dentists?

I have 2 wisdom teeth that have to come out. I have a good general dentist but not familiar with oral surgery. It's also expensive as hell.

Anyone know anybody good?

Had a TON ($$$) of dental work and oral surgery done after a fun accident a few years ago. Dr. Colin Morton is my general dentist and Dr. Robert Carpenter was my surgeon (several times). Both of them are extremely well respected on a national level for their research and quantity of ordinary and complicated procedures. Ask around for professional opinions, both of their names will come up repeatedly.

It sounds like you most need Dr. Carpenter so here's his contact info:
Quote:
Robert Carpenter, DMD
Saratoga County Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates
947 Route 146
Clifton Park, New York 12065
Phone: (518) 348-1915
I figured Clifton Park is his closest office to you, but nearly all of his surgery is performed at his Saratoga office:
Quote:
Robert Carpenter, DMD
Saratoga County Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates
4 Care Lane
Saratoga Springs, New York 12866
Phone: (518) 583-4497
Hope this helped. I guess vouching for doctors who put you in that much pain is the best reference they can get. Let me know if I can help ya, Shawn.

P.S. Get put totally under for your wisdom teeth, not just local.

I know about most dentists/oral surgeons in the area. My mom is a dental hygenists and my dad owns a dental laboratory. Wisdom teeth is probably one of the most basic thing those guys do. Any one will be able to do it fine. When you get some names, let me know and I'll tell you if I know anything about them.

Thanks. No insurance as my job has shitty dental and it's a PITA just to get a "range" as I have to come out of pocket on it.

Are you in the capital district? If so, I recommend my dentist, Dr. Essepian. He's a great guy who's been my dentist since I had teeth.

Contact info:
Essepian, John P PC
180 Old Loudon Road
Latham, NY 12110
Phone: (518) 783-5577

I've had seven teeth pulled by him. Although it's never "fun", he made it quick and easy.

aww c'mon now, it wasnt that bad. I had mine done with no problem, they drill a hole in the center of you tooth, stick a flat edge in the center of the hole, twist, and crack your tooth in iddy biddy pieces and pick them out with tweezers. You don't realize this till they're actually done though, and they stick big cotton pieces in and your jaw hurts not from the missing tooth, but biting down on the gauze for 4 hours after to stop the bleeding.

good luck!

P.S. - I've paid full price for some work on my teeth as well, and anesthetics are gonna cost you big $$. After getting 8 teeth pulled including the 2 wisdoms, I can't justify paying for anesthesia, you wouldn't believe how quick, simple, and painless the whole thing really is. I've had fillings that took longer to do than pulling a tooth.
