What to do in The Empire State
Coming to NY in mid-July with my Dad. We come every year and we want to do some stuff we haven't done before. We stay with family on LI, and we've done the city thing, gone out to The Hamptons, gone to baseball games, etc. We're looking for some new stuff to do, we might go upstate and check out Rochester (whoopee) and go to Niagara Falls, but that's a lot of driving.
So what's going on in NY in mid-July. Anything at the Glen? Help us out peeps.

Been there, done that.
Not much I can really think of thats here, its rather boring but as they said Niagra Falls should be a must! Who cares if its a long drive from where your staying, your from CA, not everyday you can pack your bags for a road trip to N.Falls

Depends on what you're interested in. Niagra Falls is very cool. Cooperstown is absolutely AMAZING if you like baseball. If you like basketball you aren't that far from the NBA HOF in Springfield, MA. Just a few ideas...

If you're going to Roch from NYC, you're practically driving right by the Glen, so as a road course enthusiast from the west coast, it is your duty to stop by.
Home - Watkins Glen International
Glen Events. IRL is earlier in the month. There are also the usual DE days nearly every day. Its definitely worth stopping by and checking out.

^^ I've already told my Dad I wanna stop by WGI. Apparently SCCA Glen Nationals are there on the weekend of July 14-15, and there's also a NASA HPDE there the following two days. Though I don't think I could convince my Dad to let me take the rental out.
