Anyone from the Tri-Cities looking for unleaded 101?

I am considering picking up a 54 gallon barrel of VP Motorsports 101 (R+M/2=101) M=99. I am getting a great deal on from a fairly close distributor having some cash flow issues. I called to get a price on a 15 or 30 gal barrel of MS103, but the price on the NY legal stuff with the corn squeezins is wicked high so he told me he had a big barrel of 101 for a few bucks more than the 30 of 103? He also told me his business has been horrible this year and he wasn't sure if he was going to keep selling race fuel. This is the stuff you can not buy in NY anymore, this is not the ethanol added version. The problem is I can NOT use it all this season but I am sure sick of messing with Torco and doing chemistry experiments with Toulene, so I can crank up the timing on my 17psi boosted motor on NOS.

This stuff can be used in any late model car with cats and O2 sensors safely and if you are like me you can mix it with 93 for a nice safe and not so expensive street fuel that you can trust to not let you down if you need it.

If you would be into buying a 5 gallon can from me, say so in this thread, you may convince me to invest the money. I'll proly get it and would like to avoid storing it over the winter and have no need or interest in making any money, just looking for a couple guys that are willing to drive to the Troy area or meet me at the track and I will share some of this barrel.

Speak up or you may lose the chance, I need to re-up with some Torco or go deal with the meth lab questions to buy a 5 gal pail of toulene because I am down to my last 5 gals of mix and plan on tracking pretty regular for the rest of the summer.

esitmating the cost + tax + $10 gas to get it + $20 siphon pump comes to about $9 a gallon. but you then mix it with 5 gal of 93 for around R+M/2=97 and if your street car needs more than 97, you have one over boosted ride!

can't you get high octane fuel at some pumps locally for much less than $9/gallon

I've never run anything more than 94, so I don't really know shit.

$9 a gallon!

you could get 116 for less than $9 a gallon at the pump!

How much did you pay for the drum of 101? you should be paying around $6 a gallon for the drum then plus the $10 core on the drum is about $340. My dad paid $430 up at the track for a drum of 110VP racing fuel. and trying to pawn off the cost of your gas to get there, get the 101 gas and the cost of the pump for your own use is kinda cheap if you ask me.

I am glad someone else said that because thats what I was thinking too. Its not like you made a special trip for these people, you went up there for yourself and bought more than you need so why pawn off the cost of gas to get there and a pump when you need that anyway for yourself?

116 unleaded without ethanol, where exactly do you get that locally?
You are talking about leaded gas, yeah that is cheaper but so what? WTF does that have to do with anything? Do you even have anything to buy race gas for? If you were at the track, you would know you pay $6-8 a gal for leaded and even more for the rocket fuel, I'm pretty sure you have no clue what it costs NOW not 5 years ago. This is VP gas but not with ethanol, it has MTBE in it to protect the O2 sensors, anyway not that you should know what that means but you can not buy it in NY anymore. I will have to drive about 50mi one way to pick this up. Just me but if I am looking to share some deal with another person and he is driving his vehicle, I always insist to AT A MINIMUM split the gas and that was what the $10 is, HALF the gas I will spend in my truck. The barrel will cost $444 and I'm pretty sure that does NOT include tax and maybe a barrel deposit but I didn't add that in. If for some reason I didn't get charged tax because he included it in the quote, well it would be less, but the price a gallon is 1/54 of what I paid to get it, whatever that turns out to be, but I tried to give a realistic number. A 30 gal 1/2 barrel of MS103E (ethanol) is $343 (12.35 a gallon in the fuckin barrel), you can get those numbers with a quick phone call. I offered this up as a favor you fucktard and don't worry about 15 gal of it is already spoken for so kiss my ass, that was about all I was looking to SHARE not SELL for profit. I'll give anyone the number of the distributor that has the barrel and you can buy it, haul it and store it and I'll pay $9 a gallon for 25 gallons and drive 50 miles with 5 cans to pick it up the day you get it and I have no problem at all paying my share of the cost of a cheap pump to draw it out, and you can keep it.

Add it all up it will cost me what I said, $9 a gallon to get something you can't even purchase in this state not to mention I will spend my time to get it but that isn't an issue because I need it. Yeah right, I'm trying to scam some money, you don't know me sonny, if you did you would know I don't need to scam fuckin pennies from anybody, much less you. All you had to do is ask how much I paid, not call me cheap you asshole, I have decked assholes for saying less. Is it expensive yes, big boy toys always are, so if it is too expensive for you and you can find a better deal great but why piss on my thread? Are you the resident deal evaluator that needs give his opinion on all matters?

Funny you calling me cheap, I run with a crowd that is lightning quick to pay their way, tip big and pick up bar tabs, none of which I'm sure you have a clue about, no I think a little fox is smelling his own cheap crustyass.

go get your father to buy you some gas, that way you can get it for free you Putz. Oh and if you want to fuck with me more for some reason, NO problem, just say so I am up for it. I cruise the lots weeknights because I race Sundays but I'll keep an eye open for you when I'm out to say hey, you can't miss my ride, there is only one like it around here.

yupp your right Im just one dumbfuck. i know absolutly nothing about what you need certain types of gas for.... yeah the gas your using is VP C10.. and Im pretty sure those prices are now, not 5 yrs ago... cause according to where he got the gas, C110 is $370 and C12 is $430 ( both plus drums as core which is $10 ) and if your not looking to get a profit and your willing to share with others, I just didnt understand why you were chargin him your pump to get it out of the drum, and your gas for getting it. I can understand a little bit of the gas if you have to drive that far to get it. But if feeling like a tough guy on the internet makes you feel good, then more power to ya. And maybe tomorrow Ill call the VP distributor for the east in neward DE and find out where around here you can get it, if its anywhere else than where you do. and Ill be a man and admit that I didnt know how much more expensive the C10 is, however I just didnt understand why you would try to get the cost back of the pump ( which you need anyways ) and some of the gas since you had to get it to use for yourself anyways. but o well. If you wanna take it as a personal attack and get pissed off and defensive, instead of mis-understanding go right ahead.
