King of the mountain sept. 8th
The Adirondack Corvette Club will be holding an event at Prospect Mountain in Lake George on September 8th 2007. Mohawk Hudson SCCA will be lending equipment and support to the Corvette club to make this possible. The proceeds from this event are being donated to Operation Santa Claus (the Corvette club's official charity).
To quote the NCCC Governor, Adirondack Corvettes.
"We are looking forward to your clubs participation in our event this year. It should be fun. Because we cannot get an NCCC Sanction for that weekend (some rule about no sanctioned events the same weekend of the national NCCC governors meeting), we haven't been getting as much participation of Vettes as we'd like.
Since it is a non-sanctioned event, we will be running a somewhat informal event, that is, we'll be a little less stringent about which classes we run. However, it will be a bit more structured than a Test&Tune event, and we will be presenting trophies at the end of the event for best times in class and best time of the day."
The toll road is $6. Not sure how much the entry fee will be. I'll get more details on the times, etc.
"We usually meet there at Prospect mountain around 8-8:30 in the morning to setup.
Usually, there is someone there to let us in the back gate as the main gate
doesn't open until 9AM."
I am not sure if that applies only to club members or if all can get in early.
I will pass on more info as I get it.
