i can definately paypal the money up front, but unfortunately with work, i wont know if i can definately go til the week before... if it turns out i cannot make it, will there be any refunds issued?

That's what it was doing before you picked it up anyway. Bleed screw can be closed a little more if that isn't the case(allen key.....clockwise to close), or just turn the boost knob down about 1/2-3/4 turn(clockwise looking at the knob from the top)
