Lebanon Valley Dragway Track Rental August 1st

Okay so I am gauging interest for a Tiburon Meet at Lebanon Valley Dragway.

So as of now I would like to gauge interest for Tiburons & Friends of Yours, so feel free to ask all your friends if they'd be interested as well. I am also posting on RSpeed.org which has a lot of car enthusiasts around the NY Area.

The track is a 1/4 Mile Drag strip, 2 lanes so we could get some good Tiburon races going, and I believe it goes on from 8 AM to 3 PM. (That's upto 7 hours of Racing!)

They have a food stand, bathrooms, stands for guests to watch - Guests are, I believe, absolutely Free to get in.

This is the e-mail she gave me back with some general information:
- available dates?
I have dates available in July and each Friday in August is available too.
- what is the rainout policy?
New date - no charge
- how much of a deposit is required to secure a date?
20% down
- is the rental for both lanes?
YES
- how much of the track is prepped initially? 330'? 660'?
1320 Feet
- can the whole track be prepped?
Whole track is prepped
- what if there is a fluid spill on the track? is cleanup included?
Yes - Clean-up is included
- what are the rates?
same as before $70 for 50+ cars & $140 for less than 50. We like to post on our website and open it to the public if there is less than 50.
- can the 70 car max be exceeded?
Yes, but no more than 100
- do you still offer the 'free slots' for X number of cars registered?
Yes - 70 cars - 2 free slots
- any exhaust restrictions? (can we run open exhaust?)
No restrictions
- will race fuel be available for sale?
YES
- will the food stand be open?
If we have 50 cars or more concession will be open

I've been to the track twice myself, me and CMau are also going up tomorrow. It's $20 to race on Wednesday Open Track days from 6-10, but there are roughly 150 cars, 3 hours less racing time and with the use of semi-slicks, the track gets rather soaked pretty quickly. Do I think the extra $50 is worth it? Yes.

So that comes to this...
What we Need:
-50 Cars
-$70 Per Racer
-$14 Per Racer Deposit to Reserve a Date/Track

Need to Know/Deposit By:
End of June

I figure if we can get 50 by the end of June with all deposits of $14 in, that'd allow us to ensure a date in August. Or if you wish to front the money up front which may allow for a quicker ability to reserve a date, that too is highly recommended.

I hope to see everyone from Bear Mountain (NewTiburon.com Meet), Prospect Mountain (NewTiburon.com Meet) and all the other meets to be here. As I said, bring your friends to race, bring anyone you wish. (You do not need to race the entire time)

Wow those rates are outrageous IMO. A few members of our club have rented NYIRP in Leicester for around $600 or so... that rental includes the exact same thing as these guys are offering but you can have as many or as few cars as you would like for the same rate. I know it's not exactly in eastern NY but you may want to check with them... NYIRP is not far from Rochester.

Hey bro, can you PM me with more information? Definitely sounds interesting, and since we have sparked interest from multiple states, I wouldn't mind going out by Rochester.
