well it isn't any fancy lighting, just my lead light nor is it some cool location, just my double garage, but you can see what I have been up to.
It is finished finally and back in the garage, only need to tune it now. The 3" StainlessWorks tailpipes and 14" mufflers had to go with the IRS. But the custom fabbed over axle replacement sewer pipes aren't exactly too shabby. After the MRC roll-control was welded to the 9" Moser solid and the frame rail the last step was getting tailpipes made. Yeah turn downs would have been OK for the track but I didn't want that. I got two 304 170* bends along with a couple J's from StainlessWorks to start with and the rest was an F&R freestyle fab-o-rama using pieces from what was getting replaced. I could only fit 10" mufflers now so SW also made Turbo straight thru Hi-Flo mufflers from measurements I gave them when I ordered the bent pieces. Frank added a solid removable strap to make it completely solid from the mufflers back until you want to take it down, but you can't see it until you crawl under.
The car is a mess after bouncing from shop to shop for 16mos. It still has burnout spittle and crust from the last passes from fall of 05. I Tried to show what it looks like from behind if on a knee and looking up from ground level by putting it on stands. I know the tips are out a bit now, that is on purpose until I get it fine tuned and know I'm not shooting raw fuel and flames out the pipes, not to mention slowly adding the NOS until I get to the 49 jet(125). Here are some pics, tell me what you think:
NOS is run outside completely, next to the braided garden hose:
This is my track look, the tail pipes had to come off to put some heat insulation above where the 180's get close to the top of the hump and also where the pipes run close to the plastic tank shield so I moved the tips in an inch to keep from creeping everybody out?
I also switched to a lighter cowl hood, F & R matched the Ford RedFire paint perfectly.
Took a couple test passes to work on the tune and calibrate my new SCT MAF, it took 5 passes to get close before the fun got cut short with a fuel leak.
