Took this last year at the glen. I finally decided to edit some of the (1300) photos I took at the race. I have a ton of panning shots of the GT class cars from close to the track. I might add a couple more if I edit them tonight.
I'm not really into the historics. I'll be there June 8-10 for the Grand-Am race, the 6 hours at the glen thing. They have some good support races this year too. USERA spec Porsches, scca touring cars, skip barber, F2000.
Awesome. Are you going this year? Clash isnt a PCA spectator event this year, but HSR is. I think it's June 16-17, I'll be there for Sunday.
Jesse, if you are going can you snap me some good shots of the IMSA 956's and Group C 962's!! Not sure who's attending this year but I heard that the new owner of the Akin Coca Cola 962 will be there( and 935-084 as well). I had planned on going there that weekend but alas I think my girl would kill me if I left for a HSR event 2 days after my wedding.
I think they were all with the tamron 28-300mm f3.5-6.3. That was before I had the big sigma lens. The glen has a lot of spots where you can get close to the track.

There are photography spots on the rail that you need credentials for but there are a lot of spots where you can get great photos with a lens thats 300mm or shorter without credentials. Go to the grand-am race next week. It's june 8-10 with the main event on the 9th. I think it's $30 for a general admission ticket. I'll be there all weekend camping.
