Wow... so How does that protect us from terrorists?
Weren't the Brits doing the same thing when we were taking pop-shots @ them from the protection of the woods?
your a fucking idiot if you knew anything you would understand that to be a part of the silent drill team takes an incredible amount of discipline and teamwork, which is what the marines are based on and why were on of the most feared military personnel

Real scary, marching in place swinging a rifle in the air.....
where do you come off talking shit about the armed forces? I bet you couldn't last one day in Marine Corps boot camp you lazy piece of shit
I know I couldn't thats why I didnt sign up All I was saying is that: The Brits were doing the same kind of "Organized" Warfare, since that was what was "Proper" to do @ the time.... George Washington noticed we could use "Im-Proper" tactics and win the war.... And now look @ us, everything that started the revolution has just been overlooked and renamed, essentially we aren't doing anything different from before we started the war, except we govern ourselves....

Drill creates discipline and focus. It's what allows our armed forces personnel to remain COOL under fire, becuase they've developed a sense of focus to pay attention to the task at hand.
You try swinging a 15lb rifle with a bayonet on the end of it, never dropping or slipping once, to perfect timed precision... with THOUSANDS of people staring at you and screaming shit, without getting distracted or breaking your bearing even ONCE. That's what drill is about. It's not suggesting they fight in that formation, you fool. That kind of rigid, inflexible warfare died with the british soldiers in concord and lexington.
