Rolling shots with a point and shoot...

Help me out guys, I suck at taking pictures. I want to try and get some rolling shots, but all that I have is my Canon SD500. I know it can be done because I have seen some good ones from point and shoot cameras before, but I have no idea what the best settings should be. (Or at least something to get me in the ballpark and then I can tweak)

Also, what is easier:
1) Move the camera with the object and take the pic
or
2) Be moving with the object and hold the camera still and take the pic

I suck at pics too, but I'd guess B would be the easiest. At least thats how Kicklow did my moving shots and he's the macdaddy at the pics taking.

Yea, B would have been my guess too, but I am hoping its not too hard either way. I would like to get a rolling shot of me on my bike at some point so I would have to teach my wife how to do it also.

its simple, just do the second one... use manual mode and play with the settings... lower shutter speed will give you more wheel blur but be harder to hold steady.

What about ISO settings? 200?

Both are equally as hard. With number one, you have to follow your subject perfectly and make sure not to move up or down as well. With number two, it's easy to mess up because the slightest bump will make your shot blurry.

On both I was somewhere around a 1/60 or 1/80 shutter.
