Hey mike random ? but how'd you like the Yaris? I'm looking to pick one up as my next car, for a cheap reliable fuel friendly small hatch.

Well I think something is up with the shifter and/or transmission but it has a real hard time getting into first gear. Other than that, it basically feels like a scion. Sort of plastic-like interior, but seems durable. The one I have isn't even vvt-i, so it's REALLY slow. I mean, omg slow.

I would definitely test drive one before making a decision. There are so many cool euro-only hatches like the peugeot 108/208/308 and the renault clio's, etc. So many euro-only audi's and other cars. Diesel is crazy popular here too.

Yeah test driving is a given, too bad I live in the good ol USA where our selection of small hatches is very limited. But yeah the stateside one is the 1.5L vvt-i motor with a whopping 105hp. But speed isnt a concern of mine, as long as it can get me places I dont care. It'll be a bit till I get it so I got time to shop around, Im paying off my car loan next week then the Neon goes up for sale and once thats gone I'll be getting something.
