rig shots

So I finally got all the bits together and made a rig for rolling shots last month. Works great so far, can't wait for the weather to clear up so I can shoot some nice (or at least clean) cars!

and a quick one of the rig on the car

thanks! I used some pretty beefy aluminum tubing to keep it sturdy.

Looks awesome Rich. I'm still debating on doing the carbon fiber tubing or not!

I've got two 6ft sections of 1.25" schedule 40 aluminum pipe joined in the middle by a 4ft section of 1" schedule 40. Would really like to bump up to 8ft sections for more distance. Limited to my 10-20mm sigma and 10.5mm fisheye right now, a couple more feet should help.

if you go CF, go balls out and get 20ft. it'll be stiff enough, telephoto rig shots FTW

hehe, just sayin' 12ft isn't quite enough. 16ft will be better. If anyone's thinking about ordering some tubing let me know, maybe we can split the shipping costs. I'd also be happy to help anyone put together a boom if they need help.
