Im givng my kawa sxr800 stand up jet ski a whole new look

First to start off Thanks for viewing.
I have been jet skiing for sometime now. Just a rec. rider (no racing or freestyling). We go out to have fun and just hit waves.
I bought the ski used back a few years ago complete and in pretty nice shape. Rough riding got the best of the ski. One of the rails tore right off. So I bought some blowsion rails and only got around to putting one rail on riding it like that for two years while the other stock one stayped on with the help of some duck tape. Then I started taking stickers off of it.
Here is the ski last season. ski is the one on the right.

Again riding rough took a toll on the ski:

Not really sure what happen as I was in the air and I kicked away watching the ski land on the side with hand pole out and it broke. Was actually one of the best days I had out skiing
So came some mods, and of course when something stock breaks we always go for the stronger option (bit pricey also!) and of course you can't always just order one part: as I ordered an almn hand pole, new handle bars, grips, trottle, gas cap and so on...
got me to this point:

And of course the hood hooks broke on me also so I bought the Stronger and better ones from Blowsion:

I also broke the hood latch at one point. Yes I have broken a lot of parts! HAHA ohh and yes i have added a wetpipe with tau ceti flame arrest.

thats how the season ended with it being like that. So winter hits, i take evrything out and off the ski:






And there she sits naked. So finaly after months of figuring out what I want to do. I have done it and placed my 1st order.
New blowsion rails
800 kicker footwells
mid mount hood holds
stitched matt for the footwells
dual exhuast
some new water by pass (90deg)
carbon front cowl
turf kit for the side bumper rails

and I hope more to come after this stuff..
So on to what the ski is going to maybe look like:
white/greyish hand pole
blue upper body and hood (a deep blue pearl)
the carbon nose cowl will be "re"cleared with a blue ting
the mat will be blue with grey sticth
the bumper edges in black turf
the bottom will be white/greyish
along with stickers: KAWASAKI down the hand pole sides in blue
some advertising logos on lower section of ski
and some other small ones I will think of later.
well thats all for now. Hopefully moar pics soon. Parts should be here in a couple weeks and the ski will be going in for work..
I couldn't find anyone to photoshop a look for me so i am just picturing this in my head.
future mods: new impeller, pump shoe blocks, bilge, almn exhaust nozzle, and maybe some performance mods

painting pointless parts for the hell of it.



So i finaly got to start working on the ski. Last couple days I have been sanding down everything filling in a very few spots...I am going back in Friday to start putting th blowsion rails on and molding em in . So far its coming along nicely..
I have about 3-5 hours in sanding so far with 320grit paper.

Thats my progress so far, with one layer of filler down on the rails and sanded. I am just waiting for my mat kit to com ein so I can start on the foot holds, and as soon as I get that done paint prep start ..

thanks, yeah stand ups rule. Glad I finally decided to do some work on it. Thats about all the carbon work that will be done to it. haha.. Maybe next year when I do engine mods I will cut down the inside of teh hull and reenforce with carbon sheets for protection. I don't think I will ever be able to afford a full carbon ski.

I have put the project on hold due to a late shipment of stuff I need to complete the body for paint. I should have parts in 2 weeks. So this sucks...

my brother rides 2, 92 kawi stand ups, both 440's, s/s impellers, bigger jugs (550's), i rode one last summer and it was a freakin blast!!

some updates, I have not been working on my ski but I did get a few more parts in

some new WHITE grips which look bad ass, new air filters for carbs and easy adjustment tunning needles for the H&L on tte carbs. and a chin pad, whill show pic of that (underside) but its the wrong one so I have to send it back

Update on the mat kit which I need to so I can get the ski done might be here Friday. Can't wait..
