Please take the time to read the rules for our forums. Failure to abide by these rules can result in a ban from the forums, and paying members forfeit all rights to their membership.

1)
No personal attacks. It doesn't matter if it's in jest or if it's an insult. There are too many people on the forum that read things and take them seriously, this means that there is a place and a time for inside jokes, and the forum isn't either.
2) Threaten another member with bodily harm, or threaten to destroy their property and you are BANNED PERMENANTLY.
3) No "not work safe" avatars or sigs. People read and post from work, it's not appropriate and will only get RSPEED.ORG banned from workplaces.
4) Problems with moderation are never welcome in public forums. If you have a question as to why you were moderated, contact a moderator, even if they weren't the one who moderated you. There is a mod forum where mods can ask who did what and why, so it might take a few days to get a response. If you have a problem with the moderation bring your problem up with the administration. If you have a problem with the administration, leave.
5) Flame wars, no matter who started it, will end with both parties getting punished. First time is the one and only warning. We have the "Fight Club" for that.
6) Don't belittle somebody for a preference. If you don't have something positive to say, don't say anything.
7) Nothing racist, bigoted, or intentionally offensive.
8) If something personally offends you, either don't read it or tell a mod about it. Don't post saying how offended you are.
9) Don't bring personal beef onto the site.
10) If you're going to post something from another forum or news article, quote it and give a link. Somebody else put their work into it, and they deserve credit.
11) This isn't a democracy, you aren't innocent until proven guilty, and if you're punished, the onus is on you to prove the actions you were punished for were not of your doing. Not justifying them, there is no justification. If something negative needs to happen to another user, report it to a moderator.
12) The report button isn't for use on a whim. Use it only if the post clearly breaks a rule, and include a clear reason to look at the post in the subject. The mods get the subjects in the e-mail, and if it's something vague or it's whining about something not clearly against the rules, it will be disregarded.
13) Moderators and admins have a punch button. It allows us to quickly warn a user. If you have been warned once, you will not be warned again, simple as that.
14) Unless your problem is with a moderator or admin, contact one of the moderators. The admins have better things to do than sift through problems with posts and other users.
15) Moderators have public and private contact info. Public will be in this thread and open for all members to contact them on. Use these channels if you have a problem with the site. If you have other contact info for the moderator, it will be at their discretion on how to deal with it.
16) Don't post something and edit it out in hopes to not get moderated. We randomly check edit histories, and it will be treated as a normal post.
17) Don't press an issue. If you ask a moderator to look at something, they will. If there is no change and no response from the moderator, it's obvious they are either unavailable or your request was denied.
18) There are no posting of items for sale anywhere besides the classifieds section. Your post will be deleted. There are no exceptions. For access to the classifieds section, please join as a basic or premium member as outlined

19) We allow our members to add "banners" to their signature, as long as they do not advertise/spam for a company. Only companies that advertise on the site can have advertising banners.
20) These rules are subject to change at any point without being noted and without agreement or permission from the users.
Thanks,
RSPEED.ORG STAFF
