Cookie timeout.

As you might now, I love writing huge ass rants because I'm notoriously an asshole. My cookie times out within 15 mins, logs me off, when I submit my posts, it directs me to a login page, then loses my post. This has happened to me three times in the past two days.

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.12.

What the fuck?

I thought this thread was going to be like a "coffee break" thread. Instead, it's you ranting about some bullshit problem. What a ripoff. I want my time back after having to read your whiny ass complaining about a timeout and loss of post. PROTEST!

The issue with making cookie timeout longer is that means people appear logged in on the who's online... I'd consider raising it to 20, but thats probably as far as I'd go

So someone who's got the "remember me" setting checked, walks away from the computer with RSPEED up, and appears online for hours, when he's not. And myself, who's actually sitting with the site in front of him, gets the boot? How does that make sense? It totally skews your "who's online" statistics and accuracy.

No.... When someone checks remember me, they are still subject to the cookie timeout with respect to the Who's Online. The difference is that if they timed out, and had written a post, it doesn't take them to the login page.

What I find odd is that even if you had been logged out, when you log in, it should have posted it for you...

Another option is to copy/paste your post into notepad before you hit submit as a precautionary tactic
