ok, I don't really follow other teams besides the giants, but from what I know, Carr was a pretty good QB last season. I know he had one of the the highest completion percentages in the NFL. It's just that his surrounding team is shit. I dont get bringing in this guy that has a completion percentage of right around 50% and has never won a regular season start.
am I missing something here?

68.3% completion. He had more INTs than TDs and won his last two games. He took a beating to NE at the end of the season or his stats would be much better.
He just didn't win games but what can you do when your team sucks.

Matt Schaub is known as the best QB in the NFL without a starting job and Houston was tired of seeing David Carr pat the ball until he was on his back or throwing an INT. His comp. % was only so high because he dumped the ball off to his TE/RB 90% of the time and the rest of the passes Mr. Johnson made him look like a hero on. I think it's a good trade for both teams, but this season will tell the tale.

There are no "sure things" in sports or in life for that matter. If that were the case, look at all the #1 picks that have been busts in the draft. Houston through they had Buffalo beat in the infamous comeback game when Frank Reich came in and lead the Bills back. Never know my friend, you never know.

IMO he is worth it, I think the Falcons are stupid for not making sure they got him back, seeing how Vick is terrible and is hurt all the time, but I guess at this price they couldnt afford both. Ever since they drafted Schaub i thought he would be a very good qb, just had to get the chance. Dont let Carrs completion % fool you, They ran a very simple dump off and run offense this year, all 5 yard slants. Carr is not that good. You will see that Schaub is worth the money i think. All my opinion of course
