De La Hoya vs Mayweather

I am a big boxing fan. Anyone going to pay for this fight?

I am routing for my boy De La Hoya. Mayweather is too flashy/cocky for my tastes.

De La Hoya? I think it's going to be a good fight. Either he loses at decision or he wins by KO. He needs to land a real punch. Mayweather has rarely seen a big punch.

We shall see.

"Pretty Boy" Floyd by decision. He's been my guy for a long time. Him and Chris Byrd (Heavyweight) both train out of MI at a gym I've actually been to a few times. Always route for them since I had the pleasure of meeting them both. Byrd is starting his final comeback this summer...hope he does well as he is probably the best "boxer" in the heavyweight division. His size just kills him But on-topic I think De La Hoya is a little past his prime especially after seeing the problems the speed of Shane Mosley caused him in their fights. Mayweather has faster hands than Mosley and can put together combinations every bit as well and has better head/body movement. Could be a long night for Oscar. If Oscar wins it'll be via a knockout, I truly do not believe he can out box Mayweather for 12 rounds. If I were De La Hoya I would look at the Jab Judah/Floyd Mayweather tape cause Judah dominated Floyd for 6 rounds before he completely gassed himself.

I for one will be watching the fight. Anyone interested in having a big gtg for the fight?

Both didn't do anything they said they were going to do. The outcome was obvious. That one judge should be suspended. I'll leave it at that.

I missed 75% of the fight due to TWC. Anyone else have that problem?

All 3 fights on the card were competitive. Can't ask for much more then that. Mayweather and De La Hoya was a great technical boxing match...not one De La Hoya should've wanted. He needed to turn it into a toe-to-toe fight. Mayweather is by far the faster, more savvy boxer. I agree w/ Shawn that the official that ruled for De La Hoya should be hit in the head with a hammer.

i think that one judge that was in favor or de la hoya wasnt judging by stats but by the crowd cuz barely any of his punches actually landed thats my opinion...

PS i thought it was a great fight so can anyone explain why brew fell asleep every round? lol especially with the volume as loud as it was i think i have a minor concussion

yes! I was on the phone with them immediately and they were so swamped with calls there weren't even taking more... they just said to call back later... I was pissed! I debated calling the next day and demanding some sort of refund, but I didn't.

I hated the fight. Mayweather just runs away and the only time anything cool happened was when Oscar got him cornered and he would throw a flurry of punches. It may have been a great display of boxing skills, but it was pretty boring to watch.

Agreed.

They are taking down info for "credits". I WILL get a refund. Period.
