Dallas definately played better. How the hell can you win when you kill yourself with ridiculous penalties that removed 2 *TD*s and allow 31 points? Giants aren't really an offense that can put up that sort of output. It was a great matchup for the first half. The second half was just a blow out in all honesty.

Just face the music the giants are not as good as the Cowboys. Two losses prove they cant hang four full quarters. DALLAS FTW.

yes the statement is about half true, dallas did prove they were a better team but u know what...we could have easily lost that game...an we could have easily won that game by more. It isnt the whole team of the giants (imo), but their quarterback, granted eli is a very good quarterback, its just when he gets flustered he makes extremely stupid mistakes. Bottom line, he breaks under pressure an no one can deny that. In games where he wasnt pressured he pulled out numbers in the "W" column, but u put him up against an evenly matched or better team who gives it right back an he breaks. He either needs to learn to work under pressure or giants have to start thinking about a new QB. Romo has adapted to that an just never stops down or up, an he is considered an extremely young not so seasoned QB, an thats why dallas keeps winning games. Just my opinion

Phil simms, Jeff Hostetler, Kerry Collins, none of these guys brought the giants to the playoffs 3 years in a row, Eli will, Elis offense scored enough points to win the game last night. The defense did not play well at all. I know Eli is the QB but people need to stop blaming him for everything. Lets put it this way when the Giants make the playoffs this year Eli, Brady, and Peyton are the ONLY QBs in the league to be in the playoffs 3 years in a row or more at the moment in the NFL.

Then again, Simms does have TWO rings on his fingers... And it's not Eli's fault that one touchdown was called back for holding, and another long return nullified for the same. However, it IS his fault for THREE delay-of-game penalties in the second half.

Eli is in his 3rd season in the NFL and you want him to have 2 rings? Reasonable expectations. Does he make every read? No. Does he make ever throw? No. Neither does his brother. Or Tom Brady. Or any QB. All you can try to do as a QB is make plays and minimize mistakes. He's still young, people talk about him like he's a 10 year veteran. I think they take for granted his lack of experience due to the fact that he's been in the playoffs his first 2 seasons and has gotten a lot of playing time for such a young player. The QB position is one that typically takes a veteran leader to get continued success. Brady had time to learn behind Bledsoe. It took Peyton YEARS to win a Super Bowl, but Indy fans were pacient cause they knew he had talent. Real Giant fans are pacient with Eli because they realize he's brought them to the playoffs 2 straight seasons going on 3...something very difficult to accomplish in the modern era NFL with the salary cap and such. Teams such as the Patriots and Colts that are in the playoffs every year are extraordinarly rare these days, and hadn't been seen since the days of the old 49ers/Giants/Cowboys. I think a lot of "fans" are more casual observers who don't really understand the inner workings of the game nor appreciate the performance of the players put forth by their team. A lot of QB's in the league don't trust themselves to try to make the throws Eli makes. He trusts his judgement and his arm. He's young, he's bound to get nervous. He'll only get better as he gains experience. If you think he should be making every read and throw in his 3rd year of the NFL you're nuts. I think I'm done ranting now. GO LIONS! Speaking of inconsistent...

i kind of agree with justin. Eli is going to be a very good quarterback in the years to come. Is he the franchise boy Giants fans were hoping for, No, but he's also very young and has a long career ahead of him. There's too much pressure on this kid to be a super explosive Joe Montana type player with basically no time to mature in a insanely competitive NFC. Experience will make Eli a better decision maker but as far as athleticism goes, he has a great arm and throws an accurate pass. That one throw to Shockey (3rd Quarter maybe?) against the cowboys in between two defenders was perfect, and could not have been thrown any better. He can only get better and time will show it.

Yeah, these days the Qb play isnt as good as it was say ten years, so im glad and feel very fortunate to have Eli, there is probably only 5-6 qbs id take over him in the NFL. 10 years ago that would have been different but right now the qb play is so weak, some guys are just unwatchable.

How many rings did Simms have in his 3rd year? none, he was actually benched by Parcells in about his 4th year for Scott Breuner because of poor play. And yes Simms has 2 rings, but lets remember, in 86 he had one of the better defenses of all time and IMO they best linebacking corps of all time. You give any QB that defense and theyd win. Also Simms can thank Hostetler for the second ring. Not taking anything away from Simms because he was a GOOD QB. Hell all those years he played he never really had a weapon. Bavaro was good but he never had a better than average reciever.
