I am not an Eli fan but I try to be unbias. He is very inconsistant to me and makes many many poor choices. However, he does have flashes of being a top QB in the league.

Ok, gotcha, so we are kinda on the same page. Flashes of top QB in the leage are questionable, but I guess I will give it to ya. Its hard to say he is in the top tier with a TD:Int ratio of just about 1:1. If you base top tier QB's solely on getting their team to the playoffs, then I will give you that. (Even though I don't agree that makes you a top tier QB, just simply getting to the playoffs)

Using straight stats, I see your point. I am going by just watching the games and watching some of the throws he makes. He makes incredible throws sometimes. You have a point though. But, he does lead his team to the playoffs but in a weak NFC with the help of a strong running game. Exactly how much does he help this team make the playoffs? I am still trying to figure that out.

ha, I love how everyone is on Carson Palmers dick. The guy has one of the best supporting casts and still cant get it done. Philip Rivers ahead of Manning? Give me a break. I think Garrard and Cutler are a little to high also. Who am I though.

Carson Palmer has good numbers...Cincy just gives up 100 pts a game cause their defense is absolute trash. I didn't have any real problems w/ the list. It's all about right IMO.

yeah well. Carson Palmer has thrown as many INTs as Manning has and he gets hung for it. Philip Rivers is not better than Eli Manning.

Look at throwing attempts...Cincy has had to go airborn a ton this year cause Rudy Johnson/Kerry Watson/Chris Perry have all had injury issues and their o-line hasn't run blocked (aside from that one game vs the Jets) for anyone. So his numbers, like Kitna's or Hasselbeck's or Brady's will reflect that. Brady/Manning get exempt cause they're gods. Hasselbeck is smart and doesn't make mistakes. Palmer is human and hence why he's not listed above them.

yeah im just not going to go crazy over a guy who has been a starter for 4 years and has had a winning record 1 time and never won a playoff game. Especially when the QB of my team has had 2 winning seasons in 3 years and been to the playoffs 3 times. I dont think Eli is better than Palmer but hes not as good as people say he is. Hes all hype. The guy has 2 really good recievers in Johnson and Houshmanzedah. Im not going to give him a pass on the running back thing seeing how Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward have missed about 10-12 games between the 2 of them. Im not saying Eli is better or even that his spot on that list is wrong because I think he is somewhere in the 14-18 spot but there is no way that Philip Rivers is better than him. They put him 1 spot better than Manning to try to make the Giants look stupid for trading thats all.

Remember - Palmer is coming back from major, MAJOR knee surgery. Takes a couple seasons as you know for a QB to get back to 110% after such a huge operation. They would've won that playoff game vs Pitt handily had he not been injured.
