yup and what a coincidence, he says eli is a bad leader and tom is a bad coach when he has a book coming out, not when he played, practiced and was around them 5-6 days a week..................give me a break. I would really like to get a copy of the ernie accorsi book, that seems interesting

I could find someone knocking every coach in the nfl if i looked hard enough. Could you give me an example of what your talking about? I go by what I see, im not going to hate a guy that brought this team 2 the playoffs 2 times in a row, fixed tikis fumble problem and turned him from a decent back to a great back. Most of the things everyone has a problem with is what the media makes up. If you want to hear what the players think of tom go to the antonio pierce interview on the mike and the mad dog website. He says himself that no one in the locker room has a problem with the coach, the only person that does doesnt play for us (tiki)

Well, id say the Giants D has adjusted to the new scheme, theyve allowed 3 points in the last 6 quarters and held the Eagles who put up 56 against the Lions to 3.
Milestones hit tonight:
Strahan breaks giants all time sack record by passing LT
Osi Umenyioura second most sacks in a game ever- 6
New York Giants tie most sacks for a team in a game ever-12
The Defense is playing so much better, I guess they just needed to adjust. Kiwanuka was up for player of the week last week and had another really good game. Osi will def be defensive player of the week this week. They were all over Mcnabb and he could do absolutely nothing the whole game. I am very happy with there performance the last two weeks. Theres nothing better than having a defense play like this, Its such a relief.

Not sure about now but last year he was highly criticized by many people. It was all over ESPN man.
To be honest, I am sure a lot are quiet if any team is willing to keep Coughlin after his playoff success.

Amazing game but that track just could not cover Osi at all. It was pretty pathetic how he got abused. I mean, Osi was bullrushing him straight back into the QB. The funny thing is that Philly didn't make any adjustments at all. No TE to that side to help or any RB support. Weird.
On another note, Eli played eh. He threw a lot of balls spot on and then, threw that INT that should not have been if he threw it to lead the receiver nad several balls over the heads of receivers. More inconsistancy despite relatively good #s.
Overall, a great game for the team.
Also, Jeff F had several awesome kicks but that's normal for him.

ESPN is the fox news of sports. Of course it was all over ESPN, they were the leader of the firs coughlin campaign. You ever notice how much sportscenter has changed over the last 10 years? they barely show highlights anymore. They show 1 minute of highlights then they throw some sideshow on like Sean Salisbury and he rudely says that the given team who just won a big game isnt that good, got lucky, is overrated, the other team didnt try blah blah. The show is a joke. ESPN has something against the Giants, they will never give them credit. Instead of it ever being a good Giants win they always emphasize that the other team sucks, or didnt try or whatever they can make up. Its a really shitty station. You dont see them criticising Norv Turner and Ted Catrell at all who turned a team who was 14-2 last year into a 1-3 team so far this year. Thats because no one cares, the Chargers arent in NY and have a much smaller fan base so it wouldnt be news. Theyd rather say that the Giants are giving up on the coach like they did last year (they made the playoffs) and the first 2 games this year (they were obviously having trouble adjusting to a new defense with a few new starters. His job was never really in jeopardy. The papers just wanted you to think so. He is a pretty successful coach that has been to the playoffs 2 years in a row. You guys need to stop reading into stuff as much as you do and just watch the games. But reading some peoples comments it seems you will never be happy. Which is fine

Eli did his job, that was to win the game. People (Shawn) expecting him to make EVERY single throw is just unfair. He turned in a good performance and got the W. Quarterbacks are judged by W's and L's...not by Yards/TD's/Int's. Aside from Dan Marino of course who was just a stat freak. But again he'll always be remembered as the guy who never won a Super Bowl.

If that's the case then he is average as he is barely 50/50 and 0-2 in playoffs.
With that said, I am not expecting himn to make every single throw. I just expect him not to throw up the ball for anyone to catch it (last week) and right into the hands of the defense (down in the red zone no less) and to make easy passes to the flats. I realize he can't make everything but he still makes retarded mistakes that are very costly.

barely 50/50? How many years in a row have the giants made the playoffs since he's taken over? I bet the most in a row since some guys named Sims, Bravaro, Hampton, LT, Banks were around...

You brought up win/loss so here's the stats:
2004
====
1-6
2005
====
11-7 (Impressive yet shutout in playoff)
2006
====
8-9 (puked away the last 1/2 of the season and barely made playoffs which they lost)
2007
====
2-2
OVERALL
=======
22-24
I apologize. He is less than 50/50. Yes, I am a Giants fan but I am not a fanboy. I call it how I see it. I also played this game for quite a while and I am not talking ESPN Fantasy.

I feel bad for the guy. Being a Manning has to suck. He'll never live up to the expectations, but I'm perfectly fine with him being the Giants QB
