Indy LOST that game. Pats did not WIN it. Great game though. Wish Marvin H wasn't injured. Payton looked like his brother at the end...

Id say NE won, but if you want to look at the cup half empty its all good, im glad he looked like his brother at the end, there teams have just about the same record now

I guess it can go either way. For over 3 quarters, Indy won that game so I am torn but feel like Indy gave it away at the end. I bet they are kicking themselves for not putting it in on the first two drives. I wish Marvin was in the game to really see who is better.

Injuries are a part of the game, you cant use that excuse, if you could then Jim Fassel Never would have been fired, and the Giants would have won at least 11 games last year. If you dont have depth, your not a good team. The Pats starting safety and backup running back were both out. Alot of teams have injuries, thats a unfair excuse. The Pats played better and won.

I don't think you can compare random positions but how important the person is within the context of the offensive. Marvin really hurt the team's ability to push the ball down the field like they have in the past. I believe it was commented on the game multiple times including at the end. It's hard to respect the deep ball as much without Marvin. But, you have a point. He wasn't there and you can't use it as an excuse. However, it still would make a major impact in the game. I would have loved to see the results have him been in the game.
The Pats played better? I don't know about that... They were down over 3/4 of the game.

So, how much does it really matter if you're losing 3/4 of the game. The point is that you need to be able to pull it together and take the shot when the opportunity finally comes knocking. New England is a deadly team for that reason. They're a tough team to play against, but more importantly, they'll slit your throat in an instant if you make the smallest mistake.

It really doensn't. The end result is what matters. A lot of discussion all over the sports world on who is a better team. Many times, the better team doesn't win the game and many times, the team that played a better game doesn't win the game. I still do not know who is the better team but I still think Indy played a better overall game.

IMO the better team ALWAYS wins, whoever plays better that day wins. How could the team that plays best during a given game not be the winning team?

They gave it up at the end. The colts D was giving the pats a hard time all day, then the 4th comes and two TDs within 4 minutes. Damn!
my prediction wasn't that far off. I'll take it.
