Have you not watched any of the Giants last year? They gave games away with penalties.

Why didnt they play that way the 2nd half? They didnt feel like it? they forgot how too? no, they were getting beat. The Pats made adjustments and beat them. This whole they gave the Pats the game is rediculous. The Pats are 9-0, the dont get games given to them. And a team like the Colts who have lost once dont give games away, they got beat. You can say if they played that way the second half they would have won but that is foolish. Thats like saying if Brady threw 3 more TDs it wouldnt have been close. Or if they stopped Addai it wouldnt have been a game, or if Marvin Harrison played it would have been closer. Why cant people just take the game for what it was and say another team won because they were better. If the Colts were bteer yesterday they would have won. Theres a reason why theres 4 quarters, you have to play for all 4, if you dont, you usually lose.

Right.... it had nothing to do with Strahan and Umenyioura missing 12 games combined, Tuck being out for the year, them having no LBs the second half of the year due to injury and having to sign guys off the street (Short, Claiborne)
The Giants had the same record last year at this point as they do now. There whole defense was hurt the second half last year. They had no depth, hell even there depth got hurt. When your starting William Joseph at DE, a guy who isnt even on the team this year, theres a huge problem.

"Injuries are a part of the game, you cant use that excuse, if you could then Jim Fassel Never would have been fired, and the Giants would have won at least 11 games last year"

dude, i never said it was an excuse, if you read what else i wrote, its all about depth. As I stated the Giants had none, thats why they lost, You also used one starting WR as an example, Im using just about a whole defense. It wasnt an excuse, you said they lost because of penalties, im saying that is nit true, there whole defense was hurt, they were not a good enough team to overcome it.

You are using it as a justification. I can find numerous games where teams were in scoring position and many reasons caused them to get pushed out which alters the course of the game. IF you want to say that they aren't the better team simpy because the points in the end did not point in their favor that is fine. However, how can you justify Giants vs San Fran where a bad ref call preventing them from kicking the game winning FG? How can you justify a stupid penalty causing a team to go out of FG position, etc..?
It's an opinion but I do not think you can simple wrap it into: "Whoever has the most points is the better team".

Commentary - NFL pro football commentary and opinion from Pro Football Weekly
Forgot about this game?
I never said Indy was better. I said I am still not sure. I think not having Marvin really hurt them. I would have loved to see the difference if he was playing. Also, I am going back and forth on it but I sure as hell don't think that points alwyas justify the "better" team. But, to each his own.

The Giants botched a snap the first time, and they blew a HUGE lead, I blame the loss on the prevent defense. They had problem snapping the ball all year. 1. They blew a Huge lead. 2. Trey Junkin fuckin sucks, he was signed JUSt to long snap, and couldnt even do that. I dont blame the officials for that game. I blame the other 2 things I pointed out. No i didnt forget that game. The giants and 49ers have had laot of big games, I wasnt sure which one you were talking about, The Giants attempted the game winning FG that game and fucked it up. The refs fucked there chances of trying it again.

So... the refs DID fuck up the Giants ability to kick a time-free game winning FG?
