U of Michigan coach Lloyd Carr retires

More of a gentleman couldn't have led our proud University over the years. We will miss you Lloyd! Best wishes! Bring on: 1) Les Miles 2) Bobby Petrino 3) Jon Gruden One of those 3 (chances in that order) will be coaching our proud University next season!

Yeah he is/was a awesome coach. One of my favorites, sad to see him go. Im interested to see who they get next. Myabe the guy from Applachian st is available lol

It is tough to see him go. It's awful that he will be remembered for his loses to Ohio and the bowl games. Coaching is a tough business.

He will be remembered by Michigan fans for:
His near perfect graduation rate of his players Handling things on and off the field with class Replacing the great Bo Schembeckler Winning a National Title in 1997 Winning several Big 10 Championships and several appearances in the Rose Bowl Not leaving the program in dissaray...ensuring the assistant coaches and staff remained in place for years to come He is a true Michigan man

Yes, it is. As a fan of the University I appreciate everything he did on and off the field. It's too bad more fans didn't realize the game goes beyond W's and L's.

I was happy Michigan stole John Belin for basketball. WVU hates us now. He's a good coach and a good guy though. Scares me that he's so easily swayed from university to university though.
