Initial Observations: Carbotech Bobcat brake pads

Well, put some Carbotech Bobcat brake pads on the STi, second set so far at 65k miles.

Gotta say, these give a much better feel than the stock pads, which were pretty darn good to begin with. I wasn't expecting much of an improvement, but there was, at least in the little bit of spirited driving I did. Its wet, raining, and 40 degrees out, and they had great initial grip, even cold on the first stop. It only got better. The initial hit is much better and more predictable than the stock pads were, and they continued to provide a much more fluid and smooth feel than I ever got with the originals - and I didn't even really turn the rotors (just delipped them)!

I'll report back after a few hundred miles and a couple of on/off ramps. So far, they look to be the perfect street pad for the STi, and at $250 for all 4 corners, they are a bargain compared to the Subaru pads, wich are 550 for all 4 corners.
