Strut assembly? Subaru Specific...
I took my front struts out to install my Max-C camber plates... The drivers side spring was NOT on the perch... and I realized there is no rubber gasket on the perch, or the bottom of the spring...
Is there supposed to be? I put the passenger side together before I pulled out the driverside... So I wasn't aware there was a problem... I tried to feel around in there on the passenger side, but I cant tell if there is or not.. Just thought it would be easier to ask.... Also any idea WHY? the spring would not be seated on the perch? It was definitly on there when I installed the springs... Could it be from jumping?

yea unloading the spring and then having a hard contact could knock it out.. it does take alot and is not very common.. as for the plastic.. it's not needed but is nice to keep the spring from making noise

Ok... I got some Tanabe GF-210 and they sit about 1inch higher up front and I got the rubber pads
 So I shouldn't have the problems again !Plus they are stiffer!
