Here's some background information on Lyrically Conscious
Quote:
LC is a twenties rapper whose budding music career is on the verge of exploding. He is perfectly poised to be the newest thing in rap/hip-hop music – the music that represents today’s youth, past and future generations.
Rap/hip-hop music has long been criticized by the public for its negative, violent and misogynistic content, publicized for the confrontational image its artists portray, and hated by parents who fear the effect the message will have on their children.
To classify LC into the genre of music previously described would be doing him an injustice; LC has created his own musical lane – a classic rap/hip-hop/rhythm & blues style and sound with socially conscious lyrics, a positive message and an attractive appearance. These have positioned him to become the first widely accepted artist of his genre EVER; an artist that has been dreamt about by A&R representatives across the world but yet to be discovered.
LC is about to be discovered. His first single, “Struggle to Live Happily”, is about to hit audiences nationwide as his music video reaches local TV-video station outlets and his songs arrive at major radio stations. Following an initial college radio station and DJ/record pool campaign in the northeast area, “Struggle to Live Happily” currently sits on the Indie & hip-hop record pool charts alongside some of the biggest players in the game. Most recently, LC has completed a promotional CD for the release of his second single and a 4-song project with well-known Producer 88 Keyz entitled “Beauty’s in Your Mind”.
While awaiting the commencement of a national campaign, LC is working on the completion of his first full-length album and is gaining exposure and experience through live performances like Parkfest’07 and AUTOFEST07, as well as around the whole northeast area.
