I would really like an explanation of why this is not going through anymore. If there was one show I was looking forward to this year, it was AF07. Not enough time my ass... The day after AF06 you started planning for AF07.

lol, go think that parking in a lot for free is the same thing as a show. and then go to sponsors and tell them that you sit in parking lots on weeknights so they should sponsor you and see their reaction.

no see, this is a public forum, we can type what we want, and you have the choice to read it and or reply to it, so basically you shut the fuck up and deal with it. we were asking the real reason why the show is cancelled, i think we are all entitled to ask that question, it is up to mike to answer it or not, im sure most of us could care less why it was cancelled but we are just curious seeing how we were fed about 10 months of BS about how good the show was going to be, celebs, bands, blah diddy blah

The Real Reason for Canceling Autofest
This is Mike's dad and I've heard just about enough complaining from you guys. Autofest was cancelled because of lack of support from all of you, plain and simple. Blame yourselves. Here it is one month before the show and not one of you cheap bastards has pre- registered. Only one vendor, Synaps has stepped up to sponsor. Of the over 500 people on the forum, only 40 are premium members. Of the 30 for the membership almost 25 goes for the tshirt , stickers and printing and postage. Mike has already put a deposit on the location, he already bought the tickets for the Super Street guys, and spent countless hours preparing. We could hold the show and lose several thousand dollars.
If all of you guys had stepped up, bought premium memberships and pre-registered for the show, we would have some working capital and have an idea of how many attendees. All you guys do is argue like babies. Support the forum and it's members or get the fxxx off. I've often told Mike to close rspeed. you guys aren't worth the headache.

no we are not worth the headache, especially if we are expected to step up to have a car show go on, ive been to well over 100 car shows and ive never had to buy a premium membership, or hell even pay money to get in to look at the cars MOST of the time. Only 40 of us are premium members because we dont feel the need to pay to post on a public forums, there are thousands of forums that we all post on on a regular basis much like this one and we dont pay anything for them. If Rspeed closed after you guys gave back the premium members there money we would all migrate to another forum, SWAT maybe, or someone could start a diiferent one. All a forum is is a means of communication between everyone. If this country has come to the point where i should be expected to pay $30 to type words to people with a common interest then there is a problem. I like mike, i support his forums, and tell people about them. But im not paying $30 to talk about cars on a forum. Call me cheap all you want.
