I'd like to take this oppurtunity to welcome you guys to Show I'm holding on August 4th in Upstate (Rochester) NY. Info can be found in Northeast forum! It started out as a Honda-tech meet, but we can certainly accomodate a few of you non-honda freaks!

I dont understand why people are being the way they are. Mike didnt make any of us pay to be on here or post or anything. DJ 7 I both signed up as premium the minute we could and did it soley out of respect for mike and this site. Never were we forced or "convinced" to do so. I know many others that joined as premiums didnt have to either.
As for money and buisness and whatnot. DJ, which im sure liek mike, does more "favors" for people than even thinks about making money. 99% of u have swat, tm, rspeed sticks that dj made u for free. All of u are aware u can call dj up any time of the day & ask for vinyl & hell do it, usually for little to no charge.
Everyone needs to be more understanding...ur not spending ur money to help anyone so dont bitch when people dont have the time or the money to help u.

As for Synapse not honoring their discount, it is the responsibility of the vendor to honor their discount they are offering on the site. If he wants to change that, then he can take it up with one of us.

I'll be honest with you Mike, we've shot the shit a few times and you know for the most part I'm a straight shooter. I have nothing else to say about the show being cancelled. I will say though, that "follow up" posts by weaksauce (whom I don't know), basically threatening all of us again 2 posts after you had cleared the air (some what), doesn't show maturity and understanding that regardless how "small" the show was to some people, it was big to others. And to me, with where we live, people being upset that there isn't a local show is a good thing... because those are the ones trying to keep our scene alive and maybe a bit more understading from all of us could go a long way... Not the "It's a private site, we wont take your shit, die in a fire."

wow... just wow. alot has been said in the 9 hours i was at work. i see it like this... mike wanted to have a FUN car show. (which btw i dont see the reason for a car show but thats another subject) mike couldnt come up with the capital for the car show... tried promoting it by contacting current sponsors of rspeed for money to host the show...they didnt step up like he had hoped.. he was without the $ he thought he'd have and he basically in a manner of speaking fucked himself. i could give a shit whether this goes down or not but i will say that im hugely offended by mikes father telling us all we basically are scum because we didnt give mike $30 to run the site? oh come the fuck on. yes its privately owned and run by mr centola... and he does a good job at keeping the site up to par.. but im NOT going to pay anything to post on a forum on the internet... we all lived without rspeed for over a year between the old apg forums and swat locally and then a few others nationally as well. this is just one more thing to bring USELESS DRAMA into the car scene thats totally unneeded. as far as the discount thing with synapse goes... ive met and talked with morgan a few times and had my car dyno'd there. i dont think hes out to fuck anyone out of money which raises some eyebrows about the supposed 10% discounts...anyways... rant over.. who gives a fuck?

No one said Synapse was out to "fuck" anyone, so please be careful what you interpret and re-state. As that is NOT the case Travis. So I ask again, be careful how you interpet and word things.

ok whether we pay or dont pay AF07 is cancelled for a good reason.. we just gotta deal with it and hopefully it'll work out next year.. so i think we all need to just quit bitchin and whining and saying the same thing over and over again i'm pretty sure everyone gets the message that we're upset. but it's something we have no control over, so just get over it, and if the show is the only reason you have a premium membership then i think that is retarded on your part.. you should pay because you WANT to not just because it'll get you into a show for free or for the shirts or anything material like that.. all this talk about being greedy and that i believe is being EXTREMELY greedy..

.. and i'm gonna be probaby the only one out of all the people on this forum to actually appologize to mike for my initial reaction to the news. so mike i'm sorry and we should have all known that there was a very good reason for the cancellation of the show..

no no... im not saying synapse was fucking anyone... i think u misinterpreted what i wrote...im saying theres something fishy about there being a supposed 10% discount listing in the sponsors section here and morgan not knowing what was up with it...no fault of morgans by any means...

You should look for other sponsors then just local ones for next year. Big companies usually help out to shows that are well prepared. As for pre-reg. Me and 10 others were waiting to pre-reg for like two more people. Some times people dont pre-reg until its almost to late. I'm sure when ever you decied to do it again it will be better that you waited.
