I was obviously exaggerating about literally towing houses. My point was, I am not sure why people go all out on these already huge trucks when they don't use them for much other than everyday driving and the occasional tow here and there.

Umm no. I auto-crossed it and drag raced it. Seems like decent reasons to modify it to me.

Had Jon from JVG Motorsports order me some 20x10" American Racing Thug wheels. They're teflon coated, and I got them with a -25 offset. He also ordered me some 35x12.50 Mud Grapplers to go on there

Also I needed brakes so I ordered Powerslot Cryo-treated rotors and Hawk pads.

The guy gave me a great deal on a 4" MBRP straight-pipe exhaust, so I couldn't pass that up. He also had some Warn Manual Hubs on sale, and mine are pretty bad, so I picked those up as well.

In order to fit the tires, I'm going to order a Tuff Country 5" lift kit, and some Tuff country Swaybars. The truck should handle much much better overall, and I'm pretty excited to put it all together!
I was looking at the same pads and rotors, but it was like 4 bucks just for a front brake job. I get employee cost at a couple ford stores, so i'm just gonna go for the motorcraft stuff. I can do all 4 brakes and rotors for what it woulda cost me for the other fronts!

have you done alotta checking on that programmer at the higher power levels. i was reading over on FTE that after a while it'll pop head gaskets... best thing you can do to those trucks w/tuners for reliability is replace the head bolts with studs. I jsut dont wanna see it come apart on you. It should look badass with the lift and tires/rims. Make sure and post pics. Was the lift kit expensive??

I haven't ordered the lift kit yet, as I'm going to wait and see if the wheels/tires will fit the way it sits now. I posted the truck up on powerstroke.org asking if my truck was lifted or not and apparently I already have an add-a-leaf in the front and a load helper in the back... If I can fit them the way it is, that saves me $900.

I'm still going to get the swaybars and the steering stabilizers because the front end needs tightening up anyways

Regarding the head gaskets, you're absolutely right. When making bigger power, lots of the 6.0 guys get ARP head studs...

Oh and I don't even want to say how much it cost me for the rotors and pads...
