wheel spacers?

ok this is a 2 part question....i had a pretty nasty episode last week in which 4 of my wheel studs snapped off the pass front while i was driving, which amongst other damage, shattered one of my wheel spacers. my questions are:

1. can anyone on here machine 4 new spacers for me

2. do ya think it's ok to use washers on each stud in the meantime

thanks for any insight

The weight of the car is meant to be supported by the hub, not the studs. Don't use spacers that aren't hubcentric and never use washers. Most of the time you can get away without using hubcentric rings in your aftermarket wheels but that's because the faces of the wheel and hub are pressed together hard enough to actually support the weight of the car. If you use washers, you can kiss that good bye, you'll shear all 5 of your lugs off after one good pothole. Don't do it.

It cost me $300 to have custom hubcentric spacers made that went from 5x100mm to 5x4.5" and they were worth every penny. Do it right or risk your car.

You have 2 options.

H&R Hubcentric Spacers (a lot of ppl have had problems w/ these, however)

Have BoxerSix machine you custom spacers to your required specs (best option)

Fucking wooooord. Can you say unsprung weight, not to mention a thermal barrier between your rotor and wheel(wheels are as much of a heatsink as your hubsfor rotor heat ). Now your hubs and bearings take the total of that job

6061 my friend. If he can machine stainless, he can machine aluminum...

a lot of people as in Gran Massax. I use the H&R Spacers with out a problem to date as well. With proper studs and proper amount of threads left for tighting there shouldnt be a problem.

GranMassaX had to take his off because it was causing a nasty vibration in the rear.
