Thank god. Sad thing is I know there are people out there who do that kind of thing... so I always underestimate people first, until they prove me otherwise

Thumbs down

How do you idiots compare used tires to used oil? When people with a lot of money need one or two new tires(like Corvette owners, those were front tires off a Vette) they just buy 4 and the ones that are still good are saved. I also drive the shit out of my cars on a daily basis and new tires every couple months is a waste to me. Besides, tires that have been worn to 50% handle a lot better than new tires. But hey, you idiots keep paying full price and I'll save my money for parts that don't wear out.

I'll gladly pay full price to guarantee that I don't get some repaired, repainted, patch, POS used tire. Everything has a price, but the price on my safety is WAY higher than what I would save on a used tire.

I've never thought buying used tires was a bad idea, I know a LOT of people who go that route (especially people who do track events/autocross). Just gotta weigh the differences in cost when you consider the more frequent mounting/balancing.

I know a lot of club racers that use new tires every weekend (or every other weekend). If you can pick up "used" tires from them, you've gotten a bargain because there are a ton of tread and life left, just not enough for the "pros".

That's awesome. I'll be sure to tell that to my worn ES100's the next time they've heatcycled themselves into bricks.

i've gotten used tires for two of my trucks; but they were both huge pieces of shit and i didn't want to spend any money on them. and on both occasions the tires were free. i would never buy a used tire for a serious vehicle.

i guess i have never hit a good pot hole. cause i've never had to replace a tire due to hitting one.
